On March 17, 2026,Consulate General of Ireland in Shanghai held a grand reception to mark Ireland’s National Day (St. Patrick’s Day) at the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai.Zhang Xiaohong,Vice Mayor of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government,attended the event upon invitation.Mr. Jerry Buttimer, Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Department of Tourism,Culture,Arts,Gaeltacht,Sport and Media,and the Department of Transport of Ireland,led a delegation to visit China and attended the reception.The representatives of W.B.Yeats Water were invited to the event,gathering with Chinese and foreign guests to celebrate friendship and discuss cooperation.
